A Physiology-focused massage practice goes beyond relaxation, addressing chronic conditions and supporting mindful healing. Halvorsen has advanced anatomy and physiological training, including college-level and cadaver courses.
KellieAnn Halvorsen has always been interested in anatomy and physiology, wanting to go into a medical field since she was a small child. A friend suggested massage therapy when she was 14 years old, and the idea was a hit!
Shortly after high school, she attended Healing Mountain Massage School in Salt Lake City, which taught a blend of Western and Eastern massage philosophies. She continued working at the school’s spa/clinic for years as she pursued her college education.
She studied at Salt Lake Community College and The University of Utah, initially planning to become a Physical Therapist, but later switched to a communications major. She earned an associate’s and a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications.
Those degrees came in handy when the pandemic hit, as Halvorsen moved from part-time to full-time work in the newsrooms of KSL and Deseret News while keeping a select few massage clients. From 2018-2026, she worked as a radio, podcast, and content producer for KSL NewsRadio, then KSL Podcasts, Church News, and Deseret News.
Her work supported DMC’s goal “to be trusted voices of light and truth influencing hundreds of millions of people worldwide.” During that time, she helped produce thousands of radio shows, podcasts, special programming, events, videos, and other content for the company. Now she is using those skills to help people understand the power of massage and the importance of self-care.
Halvorsen understands how massage can help an individual with chronic and medical conditions. Chronic stomach and energy issues were finally diagnosed in 2024, and after two surgeries, she is finally healthy enough to take on massage as her main source of income. Throughout her lengthy diagnosis and medical journey, she used massage as a tool to help soothe her nerves and keep her body functional.
In her free time, Halvorsen continues her creative communications work as a freelancer, writer, artist, crafter, cosplayer, and host of the Utah Fan Culture podcast and blog. She is eternally grateful to her massage clients, who provide the income and stability that let her keep pursuing her creative dreams. You can also support Halvorsen in her creativity on Patreon.
