Massage and Bodywork

Signature HalvoMassage: $90/60 minutes, $125/90 minutes, $160/120 minutes.

This is not your average massage session; a Signature Halvo Massage includes advanced massage techniques and heat-treatment tools to effectively address chronic issues and injuries, so you get the most lasting benefit out of your limited time.

Hot Stones are used to warm the tissue and allow for deeper, more targeted work, while Hot Towels are used to cleanse and “close up” each area worked. Advanced strokes include a mixture of Trigger Point Therapy, stretches, and techniques learned by Halvorsen over her two decades of bodywork and continuing education.

This is available in medium-to-firm pressure, as well as deep pressure for an extra fee, as it requires more effort.

Deep Tissue Fee: $7.50 per half hour.

This is a great form of massage for really addressing knots and chronic pain. Deep Tissue pressure can cause discomfort while the damaged tissue is being worked on, but the benefits are definitely worth it! Deeper or more specific massage strokes help release more natural metabolic wastes (AKA “toxins”) and assist in retraining the muscle/tissue to a healthy tone.

Swedish Massage: $90/60 minutes, $125/90 minutes, $160/120 minutes.

This classic form of massage is not only highly relaxing but helps increase circulation, soothe away aches, and relax the whole body. Perfect for mild aches, just to unwind, or escape from the stress of life. Infant, pediatric, geriatric, and oncology massages are available at this price; please contact Halvorsen for information about these sessions.

Out-Call Massage: Bring the session to you!

Halvorsen is available for out-call massage where she brings her supplies and knowledge to your location.

Please be aware of the extra effort and time to travel when booking, as this does impact the pricing. Have a quite place available with adequate space for the Massage Table and for halvorsen to move around. While she strives to bring all her supplies with her when traveling, bringing Hot Stones and Hot Towels is depended on availability of the day.

Halvorsen primarily travels along the South Side of the Salt Lake Valley, and North Side of the Utah Valley, but is happy to travel farther for extra compensation and multiple appointments/marketing opportunities.

Lymphatic Massage: $80/60 minutes, $110/90 minutes.

This ultra-light modality, skillfully executed, drains excess fluid, increases white blood cell counts, and boosts the body’s natural immune system.

Using light touch with hands or brushes, Halvorsen follows the body’s lymphatic flow, “activating” lymph nodes along the way, thereby encouraging lymphatic drainage and immune system activation. This is a great option for individuals with cancer, autoimmune, or other chronic conditions where inflammation does not allow more robust work.

A relaxing 25-minute Lymphatic Massage Facial is also available as an add-on at the end of most sessions and is a great way to close a session both energetically and to help drain away any accumulated fluid in the face from being face down in the cradle.

Prenatal Pregnancy Massage: $80/60 minutes, $110/90 minutes, $140/120 minutes.

Massage during pregnancy helps Mom by soothing new aches and improving circulation.

Done in a side-lying position (from 10 weeks of pregnancy on) with pillows bolstering the head, belly, and between the knees. Light to medium pressure is used to ease the new aches of a changing body, support shifting bone structures, and lessen ligament strain. Each area worked on is “closed” with lymphatic massage to help reduce swelling, and Hot Towels are used to cleanse the skin.

Reflexology Treatment: $95/60 minutes.

This treatment starts with a soothing 10-minute mineral foot bath while the reflexology points of the hands are being worked, and is followed by 40 minutes of pampering the feet while working on their reflexology points.

Seated Massage: $80/60 minutes if clients are tipping, $100/60 Minutes if the booking entity is covering the tip. (Plus $30 set-up fee):

Boost attendance at your event or have a special treat for your guests at your next party. Everybody enjoys a massage and even a few minutes can help in tremendous ways. Tipping is still appropriate with seated massage; so let your guest know ahead of time or kindly offer a tip yourself.

Massage 101: $110/60 minutes (only one partner is worked on), $160/90 minutes, $200/120 minutes.

Learn the basics of massage therapy as a couple in a private tutorial. Includes lecture and hands-on training for each partner, where one partner works on the other alongside the therapist. Can be adapted to learn: infant massage, pregnancy massage, or specific techniques to address specific problems, chronic pain, or preferred massage type.

Lesson Covers:

• The benefits of Massage.
• Medical Precautions.
• Basic massage strokes and relaxation techniques.
• Proper: Draping, lotion/oil use, and body mechanics for the practitioner.

Clients receive an instruction guide and the remaining lotion after the session. (A Massage Flame Candle upgrade is available for your gifted lotion for an extra $10, (a $20 value, subject to availability).

Spa Treatments and Add-ons

Heat Treatment Add On- stones, towels, or mixture: $30

Must have 24-hour notice. Heated towels, stones, or both add a level of luxury to your session as well as increase the benefits of the massage. Heat allows for deeper penetration of the knots, increases blood flow, and results in an overall more effective session.

Lymphatic or Shiatsu/Acupressure Massage Facial Massage Add-on: $40/30 Minutes

Close your massage session with a soothing facial that helps drain away excess fluids and increase lymph flow, or to balance the flow of “CHI” in your neck, head, and shoulders.

Body Butter: $10

Rich and moisturizing, body butter helps hydrate rough skin and leaves you feeling pampered and smooth.

Fees:

• Deep Tissue Fee: $15 an hour/
• Booking/Cancellation Fee: $20
  • There is a booking/cancellation fee per client if an appointment slot is canceled within 24 hours of the appointment and is not rebooked by another client. This fee does not apply to emergency situations (Just don’t abuse it.)
• Payment is due at time of service; if payment is not made at the session completion a $10 Collection Fee will be added to your bill. This collection fee is subject to increase if payment is not made in a timely manner.
• Out-of-Area Fee:
  • Out-of-Area appointments may be available, but clients are asked to tip with the extra travel time/expense in mind.
• Insurance billing is not available at this time, but is in the process of getting approvals.
